We are launching a 6 part teaching series at both 10am & 6.30pm services on spiritual gifts as outlined in the Bible. There is a weekly discussion in home groups with notes provided.

If you’re a Christian, God has given you at least one spiritual gift. And those gifts aren’t just for your own benefit; their purpose is to bless the Body of Christ. Remember that there are four prerequisites to discovering your gifts: 1)You have to be a Christian, 2) you have to believe in spiritual gifts, 3) you have to be willing to do the work necessary to use your spiritual gifts, and 4) you have to pray for God’s guidance. We will be studying what the Bible says about spiritual gifts, learning how to exercise spiritual gifts and how to use them in ministry. We encourage you to talk to people who are already using their spiritual gifts, and discuss with friends and family what you think your gifts might be. Then experiment with as many gifts as you can by looking for needs in your church and trying to meet them.

The dates for the current series are,

Week 1
18th March: How can we learn about Spiritual Gifts?

Week 2
25th March: Where should I serve ?

Week 3
1st April: Why are we so different?

6th April: Break in series, Easter

Week 4
8th April: How does love fit in to Gifts?

Week 5
15th April: What Gifts are there?

Week 6
22nd April: Does my personality make a difference?

Somehow the people of Mitcham have drawn the short straw and have to endure a double header from me!

On Sunday morning we will begin a series looking at the letters of John in the New Testament. Some small books tucked away near the end of the Bible, but with some significant things for us to consider for our life and faith.

In the evening we continue looking at the Lord’s Prayer, this time looking at the phrase, “Your Kingdom come…”. This prayer that Jesus taught the disciples is incredibly powerful, but it is these three words that are perhaps the ones that have the biggest impact on the world. Quite amazing for just three words…

The morning service starts at 10:00am and the evening at 6:30pm. All are welcome.
